ANYONE who has been involved in the restoration of a 1970s Ducati will have come across Damien Birch’s business, Bevel Rubber, which produces and supplies high-quality parts for bevel-drive Ducatis. The Melbourne-based business came about when Damien, a pattern maker and toolmaker, was restoring his own 750 Super Sport in the early 1990s and couldn’t find the rubber bits he needed. So he started moulding his own. He subsequently turned his attention to engine parts and has now just manufactured his first complete bike, literally from the crankshaft up.
