Interior styling is a surprisingly misunderstood profession, with many placing styling, design, architecture and staging into the one box. While all these professions work extensively with homes and interiors, each plays a very different role. Here we look at interior styling and its place in home design.

People often confuse interior designers with interior stylists, but the two jobs are quite different. Interior stylist Vanessa Colyer Tay put it beautifully when she said an interior designer is a scientist, whereas an interior stylist is a magician.
