Kevin Bacon on his shockingly corrupt 'City on a Hill' FBI man and heroes vs. bad guys

Brace yourselves, folks. Kevin Bacon, the star of "Footloose," just turned 61.

Of course, anyone familiar with Bacon knows that his resume extends far beyond that 1984 dance classic. In the last few decades, Bacon has evolved into one of Hollywood's most prolific and respected actors, appearing in big-budget features such as "Apollo 13" and "A Few Good Men," beloved comedies such as "Diner" and "Crazy Stupid Love," and smaller independent projects.

In addition to moving into producing and directing, he also has starred in TV shows such as "The Following" and "I Love Dick." And, of course, Bacon became a pop culture touchstone with the parlor game Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, in which movie buffs tried to find the shortest link between him and any other actor.
