2005 SUZUKI GSX-R1000 K5

I can remember when the K5 Gixer Thou’ came out and every man and their dog wanted one. Back then it was dubbed by many as the fastest, most bonkers-est thing to hit the roads since forever and even now, 14 years on, the model still enjoys a decent following. For me, there was only one road bike I was going to put my money into.

This one was a decent example. It had a few signs of age here and there, but overall it was in pretty good nick, with a Yoshimura end can and not a lot of other go-faster parts. But for my money, you don’t need any other go-faster parts on a bike like this – I knew it was going to be fast enough just as it was, and it looked awesome.
