There are times when a bit of stress can be energising. If you’ve got an urgent deadline at work, a shot of adrenaline can fire you up and sharpen your focus. But, when stress becomes unmanageable, it has the opposite effect. If you take work home and lie awake stressing about it, you’re a prime candidate for burnout.
