As the old saying goes, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Fortunately for me, I was on the solid side of the deal this time around.

With a big year of racing, injuries and disappointments, it was time to mix it up. What better way to do that then to follow that gut feeling, learn a foot-plant 360, build an 18ft X-Games-spec quarter pipe and go overseas to ride with the best in the business?
