Pixar Animation Studios is one of the most iconic and influential CGI studios in the world. In 1984 they released the first CGI short movie with characters and a story, The Adventures of André & Wally B. In this short they introduced new innovative technologies and features related to CGI production, such as particle systems and motion blur.
Nowadays their style and stories are well known and appreciated all around the world, and there are many different companies and animation studios that try to re-create the cartoony (but at the same time realistic) style introduced by Pixar.
