Tahini Cookies

Not quite as sweet, but as deliciously nutty, these tahini cookies are like grown up peanut butter cookies.

Makes about 3 dozen cookies Total time: 45 minutes + chilling

WHISK:

3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. table salt

CREAM:

1/4 cups packed light brown sugar1/4 cups well-stirred tahini3/4 cup granulated sugar3/4 cupshortening4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, softened2 eggs1 tsp. pure vanillaSesame seeds
