Three strikes
You have three lives to complete a level. The longer you stay in the level, the more aggressive the enemies get and if you land by an angry one then they will attack and take a life.
Stronger foes
Some enemies require that you accumulate enough hits in your attack chain before you are able to defeat them and others require that the attack chain is of a certain colour (the enemies come in red, purple, blue, green and yellow).
Trace a path
You can trace attack patterns through groups of the same colour baddies. If your route goes over a gem then you can instantly change to a different colour of baddie from that point on.
Level rewards
Each dungeon requires you to kill a certain number of enemies before you can unlock the exit, but you can also unlock a bonus chest and kill a bonus boss or bosses before exiting to earn a crown.
Special powers
As you work your way through each dungeon, materials can be picked up that you can use to create special items to help you stay alive. These include a shield to absorb damage and the ability to jump to any space.
