Many figure cutting has to do only with a knife being sharp. In reality, there are a number of factors involved in how well a knife cuts. Sharpness is just one factor, along with cross-section geometry and profile geometry, not to mention weight. No one feature stands alone: Get your knife design down right and you have a knife that is effective and a pleasure to use.
