Here are some tips suggesting what to look for.
Ford was on a sales roll in the late 1950s, when its adventurous Skyliner retractable hardtop convertible and stylish car-based Ranchero pickup helped the brand push ahead of archrival Chevrolet in the 1959 sales race. Dearborn tried to maintain sales momentum with a thorough restyling of 1960’s fullsized Fords; a focus on improving wind resistence led to a sloping hood and handsome new grille that incorporated quad headlamps. Though more understated than before, they did use a chrome band to accent the fender edges. Elliptical taillamps replaced Ford’s signature “Jet Tube” round lenses, and the wraparound windshield was swapped for one that offered 30 percent more visibility.
