Zero-G

Ethera Gold 2.0 £115

The sequel to the spectacular Ethera Gold (9/10, cm 271) collection of scripted Kontakt instruments increases their number from six to ten, adds another 10GB of sample content (totalling 27GB), and upgrades the engines for the two wavetable-style ‘synths’. The diversity of organic and electronic source material in the soundbanks is breathtaking, the interfaces are powerful and versatile, and the vocal possibilities are greatly expanded with the new Vocal Reverse and Vocal Chop NKIs, and Epic Ah option in the True Legato instrument. The price has increased significantly, but with so much sound design potential on offer, this is still a bargain. timespace.com
