In an age where images are predominantly taken with digital cameras, there are still a large number of photographers shooting film or moving back to the good old days embracing the quality formats of the past.

Yet you are probably asking yourself why would anyone be interested in ‘wasting’ money on buying film when digital cameras are accessible and considerably cheaper in the long run? Well, there are a number of reasons for photographers to shoot film. To better understand the advantages of film vs digital, I thought I’d highlight the advantages of shooting film over megapixels. This is an article for anyone who has been considering switching to film, or any photographers who would like to add film to their image-making arsenal.
