reviously a Johannesburg-based lawyer, Fiona Ayerst has been diving since 1990. She travels extensively and knows the oceans intimately. She’s a Nikon disciplecom’s first female world champion in 2011. Now she’s exploring the relationship between humankind and the oceans – the good, the bad and the ugly. Preferring to be underwater, she says: ‘There’s a deep peace that comes from tranquil floating in warm blue water that you cannot find on land.’ Fiona teaches underwater photography to fund her travels.
