It takes a certain kind of tenacity to actually make dreams come true. Six years ago, mother Marjorie Taylor and daughter Kendall Smith Franchini packed up their lives in Phoenix, Arizona to relocate to Beaune, in the heart of Burgundy’s wine region, to open The Cook’s Atelier. The idea of a family business in France that was part culinary school, kitchen boutique and occasional restaurant was the dream.
