Marvellous Mersey

WHY WERE WE in Southport? Well, it’s only 26 miles from home and an easy day trip to the coast. Actually, the story starts at October’s NEC Motorhome and Caravan Show, where we were looking to have our trusty 10-year-old Bürstner reupholstered. But then we saw the Knaus Starclass 560 and it was love at first sight for both of us.

So Southport Caravan and Motorhome Club site was our base to try out the new caravan. But this wasn’t our only reason for going to Southport – it’s flat and we were keen to get on our bikes again.
