I was 15 when I went to my first concert at the Xcel Energy Center in Minneapolis. Every aspect of the show mesmerized me, and from that day on I fantasized about living on the road, traveling in huge tour buses, and bringing the energy of live music to a new city every night.
There was one major problem, though; I’m not a musician. I never was, and I never will be. But I was determined to go on tour, and one day the opportunity to do just that presented itself.
Ten years after that first show, some time on the verge of spring, I got a call from my friend Julian. Juli is one half of a street-folk duo, and he was months away from immigrating to the United States from Argentina to marry Katrina, his fiancée and the other half of the duo.
