I’m not sure I’ve ever been on a shoot without a battered old Suzuki Jimny somewhere on it. Behind the scenes of even the very smartest set-ups, where keepers are equipped with Defenders in a bespoke shade of green that picks out the cross-weave of the estate tweed, there’s a Jimny.

It’s probably towing the game cart,
