Why Sofia’s having all the fun

I went to audition after audition and got nothing. Apparently, there were no roles for Latin women, especially those with a strong accent. So I thought, “I’m going to have to change the way I talk.” I spent a lot of time and money trying to perfect an American accent, but became so obsessed with it that my acting went out the window. I thought about giving up on my acting dream, but decided to rather go for roles that suit me. Once I relaxed, it became easier. I’ve never changed anything about myself, and people seem to understand me just fine now.
