rder Chinese wine, and you are likely to receive a style sorghum spirit instead of a western-styled grape wine. That’s no reason for complaint, however, as producers like Sichuan Gulin Langjiu are producing complex and nuanced versions such as the Hong Yun (good luck exudes a trademark umami and nuttiness on the nose. The palate of the clear liquid is delicate, beginning with a tangy entry leading into a nutty, tea-suffused full-bodied mid palate, ending clean and mild while the glass retains a long-lasting fragrance.
