Can you believe it, the second-best coffee roaster in South Africa lives just outside Great Brak River?! Earlier this year, Ben kicked coffee grounds in the eyes of a few top contenders when he was announced runner-up in the A Shot in the Dark Competition (and the winner of the section in which all 43 participants had to roast exactly the same green beans to create the best flavour profile). These days, Brothers Coffee is one of the most popular stops on the Fragrance Route.
Ben and his wife, Sunel, a hairdresser, are such caffeine addicts that they often spent their holidays in countries where coffee is grown, mostly during the 10 years they lived in Uganda and then three years in South Sudan, where Ben worked in the
