Tikka's compact hunter

The Tikka T3x CTR (Compact Tactical Rifle) in .308 Win is a leftie, which comes with the recent ‘x’ upgrades. Starting with the synthetic stock, it has been quietened to make it more suitable for hunting. Further, it can be customised to change the pistol grip, the fore-end and extend its overall length via spacers that can be fitted between the end of the stock and the upgraded recoil pad.

Turning to the action, there is a larger ejection port to help make single-loading easier. The plastic bolt shroud has been upgraded to metal, the recoil lugs are now steel and there are more screw placements in the receiver to assist rail mounting.

Adding to these standard upgrades, the CTR features a factory Picatinny rail, an aluminium triggerguard, a 10-shot metal box magazine, a semi-heavy threaded barrel and oversized bolt handle, while
