Contact lenses won’t do

Q I have worn contact lenses for everyday use for some years and I’m quite happy with them, as well as with my current optician’s service. However, they haven’t been able to help me with my sports vision. I play golf and shoot, and I need to see more detail at distance. I struggle to follow a golf ball at distance, or clearly see a clay target. My current prescription is for multifocal contacts: Right +1.5, Left +1.0. We tinker with this to balance my reading and distance needs. I’ve tried wearing daily contacts with more strength – Right +1.75, Left +1.5 – but not found
