THE ROYAL MILE

Edinburgh is one of those cities that just has it all: character, mystery, history around every corner (or should that be under every footstep?), a burgeoning food scene… it even has its own Highland park.

All of these attributes can be found in spades in and around the oldest part of the city, the Old Town, where medieval wynds and lanes trickle off the famous Royal Mile, which links two of the city’s biggest attractions: Edinburgh Castle and the
