THE CONSUMER ELECTRONIC Show (CES) is without a doubt one of the biggest tech-related events in the world. In the show’s own words, it’s a “global stage for innovation.” Ever since its inception in 1978, the CES has featured countless technological innovations and advancements. Nearly 42 years later, and CES has become the annual celebration not just of the new year (it’s held every January) but also an everlasting example of human ingenuity. It’s the place where you discover that the self-mowing lawn mower of your dreams is now a reality and that bendable phones and curved televisions are the future of social interaction and entertainment. It’s also where the inclusion of the cannabis industry has barely scratched the surface.
“So we decided at that point that we had a decision to make: Do we take a stand and try to bring greater awareness to the industry as a whole and stay true to our brand? Or do we try and water it down? Watering it down wasn’t even an option for us.”
At this year’s event, 464 products were granted awards, and 31 were labeled as Best of Innovation winners. Product winners include a variety of types of innovations, from specialized headphones, the newest tech in television screens, advanced sex toys and VR shoes to new OLED capabilities.
