Leaping into view

A WARM and stable summer in 2019 led to a record year in spotting whales and dolphins in the British Isles. According to the Sea Watch Foundation, which has organised the National Whale and Dolphin Watch (NWDW) for the past 17 years, 13 different species of cetaceans were observed), bringing the total number of recorded dolphins, whales and porpoises to 11,864.
