FROM NOVICE TO PRO

You have an in-depth knowledge of art and art history, but how did you start collecting? In my first role as the curator of art collections at the Waikato Museum of Art and History in Hamilton 1989, I met local artists in the Waikato and began to buy their work.

It was a video by the American feminist performance artist (1975) which I bought in 1985. I recently had it transferred from VHS to a digital file.
