I am watching: Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina (2018-now) season 1 on Netflix.
My take on this show: it’s the kind of show that people warned me about as a kid – blood rituals, demon possessions and the like. But it makes Gothic horror so, so funny. One minute sassy half-witch Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) is contemplating a date with her muggle boyfriend Harvey (Ross Lynch), the next everyone is running and screaming through the woods and there’s a hairy goat man (the dark lord) throwing a snorting, stomping tantrum because Sab is in his way. And the gender politics of certain ritualistic cults gets a kick in the pants that it deserves. Hurrah!
