Dad & daughter
The residents of 7de Laan have changed dramatically over the past year, more so than ever in the soap’s 20-year history, and a number of new faces have become part of the community. DeWet Basson (Dirk Stoltz) and his daughter Nikki (Danielle Retief) are two of them and they’ve already provided dramatic arcs to the usually peaceful little suburb. In February, DeWet kidnapped Nikki to rescue her from her drug-addict prince boyfriend Oddvar (not onscreen) from Europe who had got the youngster hooked on narcotics too. Nikki
