Dear Classic American, In your last issue mention was made of the Government’s plans to increase the amount of ethanol in standard unleaded petrol to 10%. I have to use an additive in my current classic American and I only have to use unleaded fuel (with no additive) in the other two daily driver vehicles at the moment. My question is: is Esso the only fuel supplier offering unleaded fuel without ethanol?

As far as we’re aware John, Esso is the only retailer offering ethanol-free petrol in the form of its premium Supreme+ brand; Shell has said it doesn’t and other retailers confirmed this also…
