Concept $155 krotosaudio.com

Edinburgh-based developer Krotos Audio is among the first ports of call for movie and video game audio producers looking to create dynamic, ‘playable’ sound design elements. Thus far, however, the company's plugins – including Reformer Pro (Foley effects, animal noises, etc), Weaponiser (gunfire and associated noises) and Igniter (real and sci-fi vehicles and engines) – have been largely irrelevant to most musicians, so it’s with no small degree of excitement that we fire up Krotos’ first ever softsynth: a two-oscillator virtual analog going by the slightly confusing name of Concept (VST/AU/AAX).
