Q. What is your reaction to Indian researchers developing vaccines for Covid-19, with two being cleared for human clinical trials?

It is very encouraging to see Indian R&D coming up with vaccine candidates, because India used to be considered a manufacturing hub of generic drugs. Secondly, the more candidates we have, the better. I think it is good that we have a large number of vaccine candidates across the globe going for testing, because we don’t know which one will be effective and safe.
