ONE OF THE FAMILY

Julia James was just a child when her early Clipper Blue Morris Mini Minor was manufactured. It was bought from new in 1960 by a wonderful, eccentric lady called Norah Parker who later became Julia’s aunt through marriage. It has stayed in the family ever since. Julia’s plan is to eventually pass the Mini - who she now lovingly refers to as “Norah” - down to her daughters and grandchildren.

Julia’s late husband’s aunt Norah was a real character, full of life and a spirit of adventure. “She was wonderful.” Julia recalls. “But she was a truly terrible driver. The car was kept in a garage, but it was pretty damp and dismal. After Norah died no one in the family wanted the car.
