I am watching: What We Do In The Shadows (2019-now) season 2 on Showmax.
My take on this show: this season of the vampire comedy gets a blood type A+. Familiar and dogsbody Guillermo (Harvey Guillén, Benedict, 2017-2018 in The Magicians, 2015-now) finds out that he’s from the Van Helsing bloodline – useful when a series of vampire assassins are sent to kill his master. And the vampires are as delightfully clueless as ever, this season confusing their neighbour’s SuperBowl party for a Superb Owl party, which sounds like a lot more fun.
My favourite moment so far: vampire Nadja (Natasia Demetriou, host of The Big Flower Fight on Netflix, 2020) summons her own ghost during a seance and asks her to stick around by possessing a creepy doll so that she can have someone intelligent to talk to.
