From “Little One” to “Fancy Face”
When teenager Hope Williams returned from boarding school, the DAYS writers established that she had grown up next door to the Brady family and that Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) had been her childhood crush. However, Bo and Hope didn’t acknowledge their past in their first on-screen encounter. Hope, who was underage, was at a bar. Bo flirted with her and called her “Lady X” after she wouldn’t give him her name. Bo gave Hope a ride home on his motorcycle, but she developed a crush on Roman Brady (then Wayne Northrop), but that went nowhere as Roman thought Hope was too young and he was betrothed to Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).
Hope soon turned her romantic attentions towards Bo, who initially thought Hope was too young for him. The couple’s first kiss didn’t go as Hope planned. Hope was manning a kissing booth for charity. Bo dropped by with multiple tickets, but he called Hope “little one” and didn’t think she could handle him. Hope insisted she could – especially since locking lips with Bo was for a good cause. Bo handed Hope the tickets. Holding her face in his hands, Bo proceeded to kiss Hope – on her forehead!
