Devoted to stringed instruments, Glasgow’s newest festival doesn’t just relish a good pun. It’s building European bridges too, bringing together the Scottish Ensemble, Norway’s Trondheim Soloists and Ensemble Resonanz from Germany. Among the mouth-watering offerings are a Nordic brunch dished up with Grieg and Svendsen, a spotlight on Estonia masterminded by the PLMF Music Trust and the ‘thoughtful techno’ of Ensemble Resonanz’s Hamburg club nights. A newbie with eclectic strings attached.
