Many years ago, I tried coloring my hair with a product I’d seen advertised on TV. The result was an absolute disaster, as my hair turned a bright shade of orange, which was obviously not the color I had expected. I headed out frantically to see my beautician, and after she helped me tone down the shade, she explained that the ads for such off-the-shelf coloring products were misleading, as they made it all look easier than it was. Looking at my now beautiful and stylish head of hair, she explained that getting color right was the hardest skill she had learned to master in beauty school.
The same thing holds true when it comes to astrology, which is a skill that must be learned thoroughly, and then worked at every day until it is mastered. Someone who has learned it well can tell you some surprisingly accurate things about you and your life, yet they will rarely get it right down to the last detail. If astrologers allow bias or wishful thinking to enter into the process, or have to proceed without knowing all the underlying facts, their advice or their predictions can end up quite wrong.
Elections are a good example of this, and we don’t have to look any further back than the 2016 presidential election to see that. If we just ask ourselves
