lois hazel x lee-anne williams

When local fashion lady Lois McGruer-Fraser met Bunuba and Wankatjunka artist Lee-Anne Williams a few years back, they realised they had a bunch in common, including a love for striking patterns and this great brown land. So they teamed up to create a collection for Lois’s label Lois Hazel, featuring a print by Lee-Anne, inspired by dry river beds, “like cracks in the mud after a big flood from my country”. a frondly pin

On the whole, the monstera deliciosa – or ‘swiss cheese plant’ – is fond of warm, humid environments where it can climb trees and look lovely in peace. No need to pump the heating for this mass of glossy fronds, though – it’s made of wood and hand-painted in the UK by crafty dame Layla Amber. We have four of the brooches to give away – just head to frankie.com.au/win and make a wish . Around $35, laylaamber.etsy.com

la veste

Do you enjoy fashion, art, and cosplaying as a kooky librarian with a penchant for bright colours? Then you’ll probably be quite fond of the threads from Spanish label La Veste. Overflowing with gingham, ric rac, vintage florals and oversized collars, it’s hard not to smile when you’re looking at them, let alone sporting them on your person. For more quirky goodness, visit lavestelaveste.com

deer, oh deer

How do the people behind EO fit so much cuteness into one little stool? Perhaps they have magic fingers – we wouldn’t put it past them. Their Bambi chair – designed by Takeshi Sawada – is made with a solid oak and walnut frame, and we think it’s rather ace. Want to nab one for a tiny tot in your life? Swing by eo.dk (but be warned: you may need to save up for a while first).

flour and finery

Would you like something a bit marvellous to decorate your neck and chest region? Melbourne jewellery designer Ada Hodgson might be able to help you out there. Her latest collection is inspired by all things baked and crusty, and we happen to have one of these silver croissant necklaces (worth $160) up for grabs. Just stop by frankie.com.au/win to enter . Good luck! adahodgson.com

yearning and yarning with… liz stokes from the beths

A Beths song isn’t complete without: some kind of self-own. We also like big choruses, lots of backing vocals and guitar solos. How do you deal

I was that kid with the family video camera making little movies. I just loved that storytelling focus you get from using a video camera and making funny clips that have scenes in them and different dialogue. Then, as a teenager in high school, I bec
