Tell us where your brand name ‘No hats in the house’ comes from.
The most straightforward answer? My dad! The long version? "No hats in the house" is an expression I often heard growing up. Thanks to our dad, over the years my siblings and I simply grew accustomed to, among other things, removing our hats indoors (even though, you know, do you really have to?). The point is, the traditional “rules” of my upbringing influenced me as an individual. I see parallels to the way features of traditional quilting styles – think symmetry, repetition, and grid structure – influence my creative path without totally controlling it.
