The Morris Z Van was launched in 1939, based upon the Morris 8 Series E car. One of the biggest customers was the GPO, buying the vans for both Royal Mail and Post Office Telephones use. Most of these had the standard Morris body, but a number were coachbuilt to GPO specification by Duple and other coachbuilders.
