When we think of twin-engined cars, most of us (providing we’re old enough) will remember VW’s creations from the 1980s, built to take on the infamous Pikes Peak hill climb in Colorado. If you’ve not heard of those, then the name Dubsport and its founder, Ian Birch, must ring a bell. Who can forget Ian’s bonkers creations for the late 90s? His twin VR6-engined Rallye (yes, really), twin 16v Mk1 Golf (on quad 40 carbs) and twin VR6 turbo Mk3 Golf (Big Dub) are just a few of his projects that spring to mind.
