FMS BEAVER 2000MM V2

As Canadian as ice hockey, the de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver was designed to be the workhorse of the Canadian wilderness. With WW II wrapping up, de Havilland’s sales director, Punch Dickens (a hockey name if there ever was one!), wanted to find out what pilots desired in a new bush plane and heard them: plenty of extra horsepower for short takeoff and landing (STOL) performance and the ability to fit skis, wheels, or floats. When the engineers scoffed, saying that such accessories would affect cruise performance, the pilots replied that they only had to beat a dog sled!
