T’S EARLY JANUARY and my postseason fly-vest purge has begun. Outside, the second big storm of the Maine winter dumps the kind of snow that intends to stay through April. My routine is always the same: everything out of every pocket, each item examined as to its current condition and life expectancy, and notes taken for the next trip to the fly shop.
