Steenhuisen confident party will back him

Despite the controversy over the DA’s new policy, which professes not to recognise race, and the party’s alleged purge of black leaders, interim leader John Steenhuisen is confident that he’ll emerge triumphant after the party’s national congress next month.

The DA leadership race is heating up, with provincial leaders beginning to reveal whether they’ll be endorsing interim leader Steenhuisen or member of the KwaZulu-Natal provincial legislature Mbali Ntuli.
