During the 1970s and 1980s, police across 11 counties in the state of California, were hunting down several prolific criminals.
Collectively, they were responsible for over a hundred burglaries, a number of unsolved rape cases, and over ten murders.
The offenders had been given nicknames over the years.
They were dubbed the Visalia Ransacker, the East Area Rapist, the Original Night Stalker, the Creek Killer and the Diamond Knot Killer.
California was in the grip of a crime spree but what the authorities didn’t know, was that they were looking for just one man – The Golden State Killer.
