With the world championships coming to Nottingham in 2021, organizers have been busy building a feature good enough to host the world's best freestyle kayakers. The feature chosen to be developed is called "Twin Waves," a name held by the feature in that location on the HPP Whitewater Course for the last few decades. This feature has had many many forms over the years, but this one was striving to be the best yet. The latest edition of the feature has similarities to lots of features across Europe. It has a flat but powerful ramp into the pile, reminiscent of Plattling and the last world's feature in Sort. However, it still has a trusty pocket where all the moves and combos are possible and can go big. It takes a little bit of work to get used to the feature to start, but it will provide some high scores and exciting rides when the worlds finally come to Nottingham! For more information on how to check it out for yourself, visit the Holme Pierrepont Whitewater Course and National Watersports Centre in Nottingham, England.
