‘Short workouts that are truly HIIT are proven to improve your cardio-respiratory fitness, insulin sensitivity, energy production and fat-free mass.

‘One HIIT method, known as the Tabata protocol, is an effective way to burn fat. A full Tabata session lasts 20 minutes and can be done on any cardio equipment. Go full intensity for 20 seconds, then take 10 seconds rest, then repeat. Do eight rounds (four minutes), then have a one-minute break and repeat this interval for three more rounds.
