The music world has always been a bit of a boys’ club, but back in the ’80s – when acts like Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and Culture Club ruled the charts – that was especially true. Until childhood best friends Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward (as well as Siobhan Fahey) burst onto the pop scene as cool girl group Bananarama. A string of hits including ‘Cruel Summer’, ‘Robert De Niro’s Waiting’ and ‘Venus’ followed. In fact, Bananarama hold a Guinness World Record for most chart entries by an all-female group. To date, the band has had 28 singles
