Boudicca farewell

n 28 September I was working in a garden about three quarters of a mile up the coast from the six Fred. Olsen cruise ships laid up at Rosyth when, at about 1100, one of the ships’ horns started to sound and the other five joined in. We saw Boudicca move to the locks, and there were more blasts from the horns. Then one of the Holland America ship’s speaker systems played ‘It’s time to say goodbye’. I could feel a lump in my throat and the hairs on the back of my neck
