Between a ROCK and a HARD PLACE
As we get towards the back end of the year, Yamaha’s chief medical officer has informed me that it’s time for the YZ125X and I to start physically distancing. I still can’t help but wonder what could have been for the little bLU weapon.
At the start of the year, I had plans to get myself back into some kind of respectable race shape, travel around the country and bring some two-stroke life back to the AORC and state events. I have always loved riding the small-bore two-stroke bikes and, no matter where you go, people on the sidelines will always cheer the 125 riders. They just bring a smile to your face.
Sure, you won’t be setting land speed records compared to the big-bore four-strokes but you will definitely be having the most fun. And isn’t that why we ride dirtbikes? It seems more serious in the pits than it ever has been and I kinda blame the four-strokes and their not-so-exciting
